Friday, October 31st Cork oak forrest tour.
Breakfast in our B&B in Loule.  After breakfast, we'll explore the cork industry by visiting a cork oak forest/farm, cork producer.  The cork industry is regarded as environmentally friendly.  Cork production is generally considered sustainable due to the fact that the cork tree is not cut down to obtain cork, rather only the bark is gently stripped to harvest the cork.  The tree continues to live and grow.  Cork oak forests prevent desertification and are a particular habitat in the Iberian Peninsula and the refuge of various endangered species.  Next we will move on for an area sighting tour where we'll enjoy a lunch break by the sea followed by continued area exploration.  Informal dinner at our B&B and evening at your leisure in Loule.

Saturday, November 1st Discover Portugal's white truffle region and Fado music.

After breakfast, we'll experience local seasonal wild mushroom harvesting, and learn about the white truffle.  Edible truffles are held in high esteem in many cuisines including the Middle East, French, Spanish, Italian, Greek cooking and International 'haute cuisine',.  Continue area exploration with free time. After our visits return to the B&B.  An optional excursion; we will dine in a local restaurant and hear Fad singing live.  Return to our B&B for overnight in Loule.

Sunday, November 2nd  Area sightseeing, evening shindig.
Breakfast again in Loule, we'll continue our visits in the Loule area.  Tonight is our last night in Portugal; we've organized a farewell reception and garden party.  It will be thrown in our B&B at the Algarve Paradise to say farewell to our wonderful host country.  Our evening will mix local Portuguese citizens with our Canadian group for a cross cultural Shindig!
